Support the KSU CanSat Competition Team! Your sponsorships and donations empower our team to prepare for and participate in the annual CanSat Competition. Contributions help offset essential expenses such as electronics, hardware, test equipment, and travel.

Why Support Our Team?

The development of this CanSat and participation in the 2025 CanSat Competition offer invaluable hands-on experience for students while contributing to the growth of the aerospace community at Kennesaw State University. This project allows students to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world engineering challenges. Working through the iterative design process, students gain critical skills in systems engineering, computational simulations, and experimental testing, which are applicable to careers in the aerospace industry. Additionally, this project fosters collaboration between multiple engineering disciplines, strengthening KSU’s growing presence in aeronautics and space-related research.

Beyond its educational benefits, this project also explores the promising advancements of autogyro technology, a field with wide-ranging applications. The autogyro descent system represents an innovative approach to controlled descent, offering advantages such as stability, efficiency, and reduced reliance on powered flight. These characteristics are highly valuable for drones, exploration robots, and aerial surveying. Future advancements in autogyro-based UAVs could improve disaster relief efforts, planetary exploration, and remote sensing missions, demonstrating the real-world impact of the technologies being tested in this competition.

By designing and testing this CanSat, students at KSU are not only developing essential engineering skills but also contributing to cutting-edge research in autonomous flight and descent control. This project serves as a foundation for future aerospace initiatives at the university, strengthening KSU’s role in aeronautical innovation and preparing students for leadership roles in the field.

Participating in the CanSat competition comes with many expenses including electronics, hardware, test equipment, and travel. By sponsoring our team, you will be expanding the skills of talented young engineers and aiding your company’s recruitment at KSU and the greater Marietta area.
